Emilia Perez, The Brutalist, Conclave, A Complete Unknown, Anora among top contenders for Oscars 2025
The nominations for the 97th annual Academy Awards, which is set to be held on Sunday, March 2, were announced today. Emilia Perez, the Spanish musical crime film, leads with 13 nominations, including for Best Picture and Best International Feature. Wicked and The Brutalist follow closely with 10, while films like Conclave (8), A Complete Unknown (8), Anora (6), Dune Part Two (5) and The Substance (5), also had multiple nods.
India had little to cheer, with Payal Kapadia’s All We Imagine As Light missing out on both International Feature and Director categories. The sole consolation was the live action short nomination for Anuja.
