The fantasy flick produced by Kotapadi J Rajesh has been directed by Pari K Vijay,
A still from the film
The first single and teaser of Pari K Vijay's fantasy film Aalambana was unveiled earlier. Vaibhav and Parvati play lead roles in the movie which has been produced by Kotapadi J Rajesh of KJR Studios. Munishkanth plays a pivotal role in the project which has Anandraj, Robo Shankar, Pandiyaraj, Murali Sharma and Kabir Singh essaying key characters.
The team has now revealed its second single, titled Opening Song Ithu. Composed by Hiphop Tamizha Adhi, the track sung by Ajay Krishna has lyrics penned by Kabilan Vairamuthu. What stands out in the peppy track is the funny lyrics and music which reminds us of a few earlier compositions of Adhi.
An elated Parvati took to her social media page to express excitement on the song's release. She tweeted, "Its time for some real fun. Here is #OpeningSongIthu from my next film #Aalambana. A @hiphoptamizha musical (sic)." The four-minute video has BTS moments from the recording studio where Adhi is seen recording the song crooned by Ajay.
The lyric video also features Vaibhav and Parvati apart from Praveena and Pandiarajan. Vinoth Rathinasamy and San Lokesh have handled the project's cinematography and editing respectively while Peter Hein has composed stunt scenes for it.
Billed as a VFX-heavy project, the movie which was shot in Chennai, Mysore and Pondicherry, was supposed to have a theatrical release in January. But looks like it is unlikely given the new restrictions imposed by Tamil Nadu state government in the wake of rise in number of Omicron cases.
The story of Aalambana revolves around a few gangsters who are after a precious magic lamp. The protagonist's life changes forever after he gets it, followed by a genie becoming his slave. What happens after the gangsters start chasing the protagonist forms the rest of the story.
