Before Aparshakti Khurana, Vikramaditya Motwane directed Rajkummar Rao in Trapped.
The perception of the film industry as a dog-eat-dog environment has long existed. However, there have been a few occasions when performers or directors have helped one another. One such example is Aparshakti Khurana, who is now enjoying popularity following the success of Jubilee. He recalls how his actor pal Rajkummar Rao helped him realise his full potential while they were filming Stree (2018).
During an interaction with Mid Day, he remembered that Rajkummar and he were chatting about how he was only getting comedies back-to-back on the Stree sets. To which the Badhaai Do actor said that there is only one person who can alter this for him: Vikramaditya Motwane.
After five years, Rajkummar's predictions have come true. With Jubilee the filmmaker gave Aparshakti his breakthrough role as Binod Das, a trustworthy lab assistant who harbours fiery desires of his own. According to the actor, he first had mixed feelings about the three films and series that were given to him. Rajkummar had pushed him in the direction of the period drama.
Aparshakti further told the tabloid how he would have to give up the three films that were given to him to devote two years to Jubilee. Those movies could have altered his perspective, but the Dangal actor had to take several circumstances into account. Rajkummar asked him to forget about those three movies, and he guarded his interests. Aparshakti might have been sitting next to someone who would have advised me to act in those movies because they would make much more money. That is OTT; those are flicks. People have made the claim. He continues by saying that Rajkummar gave him a long hug after the viewing of the performance.
Aparshakti said that even after the series, which also starred Prosenjit Chatterjee, Aditi Rao Hydari, and Sidhant Gupta, was released online, people continued to praise his coworkers' compassion. Recently, Ranveer Singh sent me a message that said, "Aparshakti be******d!" Abuse is feeling good right now for the actor. He has always had the support of celebrities in the business as a host. But it means a lot to him to have their support in this setting.
