Ayushmann Khurrana and his wife Tahira Kashyap form a power couple in the world of Entertainment. On the occasion of World Cancer Day, the actor penned a sweet post for his wife.
Cancer continues to take lives every day, but now, there are far more survivors than ever before, who fight back and win against the malignant disease. On World Cancer Day, Ayushmann Khurrana decided to dedicate a special post to his wife Tahira Kashyap, who was victorious in her battle against breast cancer.
The Dream Girl actor took to Instagram and uploaded three photos and a video, captioned, “The girl I pulled by having samosa and chai at hut number 14 in Panjab University (red heart emoji)”. Ayushmann further wished his wife the best for her debut at today’s Spoken Fest, which is Asia’s largest Spoken Word Festival and gave his blessings (albeit via an emoji).
Khurrana dreamily concluded the post by raising a final toast to his wife and declaring that he is in love with her “heart and spirit”. Other than a hashtag of World Cancer Day, the post featured a beautiful and haunting tribute to Tahira’s journey navigating the murky waters of cancer.
While the first photo was an adorable mirror selfie of the two, both looking phenomenal and powerful, the second photo featured Tahira bravely flaunting her mastectomy scar as well as a shaved head, with her boss specs on. The third photo saw the writer cum filmmaker don blue jeans with an orange tshirt that rightfully cussed cancer, as well as a black cap. The boomerang clip featured a working-out Tahira who was ready to kickass.
The Sharmajee Ki Beti director and the Andhadhun actor got hitched in 2008, after a flourishing childhood romance, and have never had eyes for anyone but each other, despite their highs and lows. Tahira Kashyap was diagnosed in 2018 with the early stages of breast cancer and underwent a mastectomy to triumph over the disease, while Ayushmann was by her side throughout the battle.
