Nenjuku Needhi, which was released in theatres on May 20, is celebrating its 50th day today. The movie, which is the remake of Bollywood film Article 15, started streaming on SonyLIV a few weeks ago. The film directed by Arunraja Kumaraj has Udhayanidhi playing the lead in it.

Now, Kamal Haasan has honoured the team by gifting them a statue of Ambedkar and Periyar. Udhay took to his Twitter page to share photos of the same. Arunraja and producer Boney Kapoor are also seen in the pictures. Nenjuku Needhi, which opened to decent reviews, is considered as one of the successful movies of Tamil this year.

Interestingly, Udhayanidhi has been the distributor of Kamal Haasan's Vikram which started streaming on Disney+ Hotstar today. The former was the first person apart from Vikram's crew to watch the film directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. His review on Twitter posted on the previous day of the action thriller's release had sent movie lovers into a tizzy.

Film buffs were more than happy to see Kamal and Udhayanidhi posing for photos on the occasion of Nenjuku Needhi celebrating its special day today. The duo also posed with a framed poster of Vikram which had the caption "All Time Record".

Udhay's next film Maamannan which is being helmed by Mari Selvaraj is expected to be his last movie as an actor. The former himself had announced the same a while ago as he is planning to concentrate more on politics.

Kamal Haasan, on the other hand, is likely to join Indian 2 next along with Shankar. The movie bankrolled by Lyca Productions is expected to be Ulaganayagan's next outing. He will soon be teaming up with Mollywood filmmaker Mahesh Narayanan as well.
