On Teachers’ Day, director Sailesh Kolanu calls Saindhav actor Venkatesh his mentor
He spoke of his various experiences that helped him become a better person during Saindhav shoot

Director Sailesh Kolanu, who rose to prominence with Hit: The First Case, went onto remake the film in Hindi later and also directed its sequel Hit: The Second Case, headlined by Adivi Sesh. His fourth release as a filmmaker is the pan-Indian actioner Saindhav, headlined by Venkatesh. The film is produced by Venkat Boyanapalli of Niharika Entertainment, the banner behind Shyam Singha Roy.
Saindhav is wrapping its shoot at a brisk pace and brings together a host of talents from multiple industries including Arya, Andrea Jeremiah, Jaya Prakash, Shraddha Srinath, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Ruhani Sharma. Commemorating Teachers’ Day yesterday, director Sailesh Kolanu labelled Venkatesh a mentor in his life and how he had a life-altering experience working with him on Saindhav.

The filmmaker said he was always lucky to find amazing teachers and mentors in his life right when he needed them the most. Just when he had begun to taste success in films, Sailesh shared he got to meet a golden man in his life - Venkatesh - who has helped him stay grounded, motivated him to work hard, stay positive and be content with whatever he has in life.
“#Saindhav is more than just a movie for me cos of @VenkyMama. Thanks a lot sir. Happy teachers’ day,” Sailesh stated. He also shared an image that was clicked right after Venkatesh is all smiles after watching the rushes of the last 18 mins of Saindhav. “Can’t wait to show you all what we created :) Soon. Very soon.” The film is all set to hit screens worldwide on December 22 in five languages.
Santosh Narayanan is scoring the music for the film which has cinematography by S Manikandan. Garry Bh (who also directed Nikhil’s Spy) is the editor of Saindhav, whose crew also comprises production designer Avinash Kolla. S Venkatarathnam is the executive producer and Praveen Ghanta is the VFX supervisor. Sailesh Kolanu’s next after Saindhav may be Hit 3, starring Nani.
