OMG 2 controversy

All the cinegoers who have been eagerly awaiting the release of the Akshay Kumar- Yami Gautam, here is an important update from man himself Pankaj Tripathi, who plays an extremely important role in the film. For the unversed, ever since the time the trailer of ‘OMG 2’ had been released, the film found itself being embroiled in a controversy. And the controversy was about a report that had stated that the film ‘OMG 2’ dealt upon the topic of LGBTQ community.

Keeping in mind the backlash which the Prabhas starrer Adipurush had received because of its content, the Censor Board had put the film ‘OMG 2’ on hold. Post that, the Central Board of Certification (CBFC) had sent the film to the Revising Committee as a ‘pre-emptive’ measures. This was followed by an update which stated that the CBFC Chairperson Prasoon Joshi would personally watch the film.

Even though the film’s director or anybody related to the film did not speak about the film’s progress update, the thespian actor Pankaj Tripathi spoke to Zoom TV and shared an important update about the film. In the said interview, Pankaj Tripathi said, “All I will say is, please don’t believe what is being written about it. Log bahot kuch bol rahen hain. Lekin sachchai samne aayegi jab film release hogi (people may say many kind of things, but the truth will be out in the open when the film releases).

Besides Akshay Kumar and Pankaj Tripathi, the film ‘OMG 2’ also stars Yami Gautam, who is rumoured to be playing a character with gray shades. As for roles in the film, this time round, Akshay Kumar will be seen playing the role of Lord Shiva, unlike in ‘OMG’, where he was seen in the role of Lord Krishna. And as for Pankaj Tripathi, unlike the film ‘OMG’, where Paresh Rawal was seen playing the role of an atheist Kanji Lalji Mehta, his character will be called as Kanti Sharan Mudgal, a person who has immense belief in God.
