OMG 2 is directed by Amit Rai and also stars Yami Gautam in a pivotal role. The film has shown an upward trend since the week started.
With a strong Monday following its impressive opening weekend, OMG 2 brings in an astounding Rs. 55.17 crore. With these kinds of numbers, the film is guaranteed to become a smash hit, if not a bigger success than the first. The film's worldwide gross is now Rs. 55.06 crore. Schools and businesses are open as usual because it is not a legal holiday but has the feel of a holiday because it comes between a Sunday and a national holiday.
The movie is on the upswing, and its popularity extends to urbanites. How the first week develops will be entirely dependent on today's growth (Independence Day) and Wednesday's (a small holiday in a couple of states).
As per reports in Box Office India, even though it was a box office smash, the release date should have been pushed back by a week. Not only would the movie have seen more earnings, but audiences would have had a much more positive impression of it.
On Friday, OMG 2 minted Rs. 10.26 crore, while on Saturday and Sunday, the film collected about Rs. 15.30 crore and Rs. 17.55 crore, respectively. On the fourth day, that is, the first Monday, the Amit Rai directorial went on to make Rs. 12.06 crore.

Kanti, devastated and helpless in the face of the situation, packs up his family and flees the city until he receives a heavenly intervention (Akshay Kumar), leading him to the truth. Kanti then makes up his mind to sue everyone involved.
