It took 18 months to come to a decision
After their long custody battle, Olivia Wilde and Jason Sudeikis have come to an agreement on how much he would pay for child support every month. Jason will pay Olivia USD 27,500 per month in child support, according to DailyMail. They are blessed with two children Otis, aged 9, and Daisy, aged 6. The decision was taken keeping the income of both the parents in mind.
Split in 2020
Olivia and Jason parted ways in November 2020 after nine years of being in a relationship. They were engaged when they split. Olivia was served court documents while she was at the Comic Con promoting her movie Don’t Worry Darling in April. Jason claimed that he had ‘no knowledge’ that she would be served in such a manner. Olivia had opened up on the same during her 2022 interview with Variety. She felt that her kids suffered and they shouldn’t even have to know something like that happened. “I hated that this nastiness distracted from the work of so many different people and the studio that I was up there representing,” she had added.
Took 18 months
The couple went back-and-forth on the amount for 18 months before reaching a decision. Jason’s team filed that the hearing should be in California and that hearing took some time, after a judge ruled that the hearing will be held in California. A report on The Blast claims that Olivia accused Jason of not paying child support and thus requested that he cover USD 500,000 in legal fees. This happened in April.
Positive co-parenting nonetheless
Even though Olivia and Jason were in a bitter legal battle, they did not let it affect their co-parenting. They often united for their kids. They were seen indulging in a friendly conversation during Otis’ soccer game in early September. They greeted one another and appeared to be on good terms throughout, despite the legal battle.
