Not only do the people find themselves aging at a rapid rate, they find that with every minute they spend on the mysterious location, their pre-existing medical conditions get worse, leaving them little to no time to devise a plan of escape. And of course, the film would not be a Shyamalan movie without a twist that you don't see coming.
