Aishwarya Rajinikanth has previously directed two Tamil films, 2 and Vai Raja Vai
Aishwarya Rajinikanth has officially announced that she is making her Hindi directorial debut. Daughter of superstar Rajinikanth, Aishwarya took to social media to share the news and the first look poster of the film.
Sharing the poster of the movie, she wrote, “My week couldn’t have started better..Happy n feeling blessed to announce my directorial debut in Hindi “Oh Saathi Chal”,an extraordinary true love story,produced by @MeenuAroraa @Cloud9Pictures1 @archsda #NeerajMaini need all your blessings n wishes”.
Titled Oh Saathi Chal, the film’s poster reveals almost nothing, but the tagline reads, “An extraordinary love story”. The poster shows a cycle parked on the side of a narrow alley.
According to a report by ETimes, the film is based on a true love story that the makers had discussed a few years ago with the media. Producer Meenu Aroraa confirmed the news to the portal and said that she cannot talk about the project further because it is still in the nascent stage.
Aishwarya made her directorial debut with the romantic psychological thriller, 3, starring estranged husband Dhanush and Shruti Haasan in the lead. Her second film was a heist comedy titled Vai Raja Vai. In 2017, she also helmed a documentary on the life of stuntmen in the Tamil film industry titled Cinema Veeran.
She recently released her music video, Payani in Tamil with versions of the same song in Hindi, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam. They are titled Musafir in Hindi, Sanchari in Telugu, Sacchari in Kannada, and Yatrakkaran in Malayalam. Payani was sung by music composer Anirudh Ravichander.
