OG: Arjun Das joins Pawan Kalyan’s actioner with Sujeeth

Pawan Kalyan is in one of his busiest phases as an actor while also taking care of his political career. His next release is Bro, the Telugu remake of Vinodhaya Sitham alongside Sai Dharam Tej, while he is filming for Ustaad Bhagat Singh with Harish Shankar and OG with Sujeeth simultaneously. He’ll also be wrapping up his pending segments for Krish’s periodic saga Hari Hara Veera Mallu shortly.

The third schedule of OG, bankrolled by RRR producer DVV Danayya under DVV Entertainment, went on floors recently. Priyanka Mohan plays the female lead of the film whose crucial portions were shot in Mumbai a few weeks ago. S Thaman scores the music for the film whose technical crew comprises cinematographer Ravi K Chandran, art director AS Prakash as well.

There’s a new addition to the star studded lineup of OG. Arjun Das, who forayed into Telugu cinema with this year’s release Butta Bomma, headlined by Anikha Surendran, is on board to play a crucial role in the film. “Welcome aboard, Arjun Das @iam_arjundas! #OG will become even more vibrant with your powerful tone and presence,” the makers confirmed the news over a tweet.

Arjun Das’ claim to fame was Lokesh Kanagaraj’s Kaithi, in which he was cast as Anbu. While Master enhanced his popularity, his best showcase as a performer remains Andhaghaaram, bankrolled by director Atlee. He was also seen in films like Vikram and the web show Putham Pudhu Kaalai Vidiyaadhaa later. Meanwhile, OG is the best bet the actor could’ve asked for in Telugu cinema.

In a recent chat with OTTplay.com, the promising actor expressed his interest to drift away from negative roles and try his hand at a variety of characters. Can we expect him as a baddie in OG or will there be more to his persona in the film? OG is expected to release in 2024.
