Amid speculations that Aranmanai 4, the upcoming fourth installment of the horror comedy film franchise Aranmanai, is postponed, the makers confirmed that the film will not be arriving as scheduled on April 26. Instead, the film will hit theatres on May 3, the makers revealed on social media on Friday.

Aranmanai 4 is directed by Sundar C, who also stars in the film along with actors Tamannaah Bhatia, Raashii Khanna, Santhosh Prathap, Ramachandra Raju, Kovai Sarala, Yogi Babu, K. S. Ravikumar, Jayaprakash, VTV Ganesh, Delhi Ganesh, Rajendran and Singampuli in prominent roles. With Aranmanai 4 out of the way, Rathnam will have a solo release on April 26. The film is directed by Hari and stars Vishal in the lead role.
Where can you watch the Aranmanai series?
While the wait is a little longer for Aranmanai 4, it also gives you time to catch up with the film franchise if you haven’t yet. Created by filmmaker Sundar C, each installment serves as a standalone film with different characters but the same premise. It involves a family who relocates to a haunted bungalow, only for some of the family members to be possessed by the spirits of dead people.
All three parts of Aranmanai are available to stream on OTTplay Premium. All parts were helmed by Sundar C who also featured in the films.

The first part was released in 2014 and is a horror comedy featuring Sundar C, Hansika Motwani, Vinay Rai, Andrea Jeremiah, Raai Laxmi, Santhanam, Kovai Sarala, Manobala and others. It involves a family who comes back to their native land to sell their ancestral home. But as the supernatural elements play a spoilsport, it is up to one of the relatives to solve the problem. It streams on SunNXT.
Aranmanai 2 was released in 2016 and had a fresh set of faces, including Siddharth and Trisha, along with Hansika Motwani. Soori, Kovai Sarala, Vaibhav and others round off the cast. This part involves a man arriving along with his fiancée to sell his ancestral home, only to find his father in a coma. It streams on SunNXT.
Aranmanai 3 was released in 2021 and had Arya, Raashii Khanna, Andrea Jeremiah, Sakshi Agarwal, Vivek, Myna Nandhini, Yogi Babu, Nalini, Manobala and others. After a landlord's daughter gets possessed by a spirit, the family gets tormented one by one, only to learn the dark secrets that were buried in the past. It streams on ZEE5.
