Kunchacko Boban, the popular Malayalam actor, is celebrating his birthday, today (November 2, 2024). As you may know, the Bougainvillea actor bid goodbye to his romantic hero image and has been surprising the audiences with his onscreen transformations. Interestingly, Kunchacko Boban is now set to play a cop yet again in the upcoming Jithu Ashraf directorial, which has been titled Officer On Duty. The upcoming cop film stars Priya Mani as the female lead.

The cast and crew members of Officer On Duty wished leading man Kunchacko Boban on his birthday, by revealing the first-look posters of the film. The first poster features the versatile actor in a police uniform, back-combed hairdo, and thick moustache, while six youngsters are seen in the foreground. In the second poster, on the other hand, Kunchacko Boban is seen unleashing his romantic avatar with leading lady Priya Mani.
The team also revealed a highly promising motion poster of the film, which showcases the six youngsters and the police officer who is behind them, in the backdrop of an eventful night. “‘OFFICER ON DUTY’ Happy birthday Officer @kunchacks,’ wrote producer Martin Prakkat, who shared the first look poster, on his social media post. “OFFICER………. On Duty... Presenting a Heavy duty item from a marvelous team!!” reads leading man Kunchacko Boban’s Instagram post.

Officer On Duty: Here’s what we know
As you may know, Officer On Duty marks the first onscreen collaboration of Kunchacko Boban and Priya Mani. Along with the duo, the movie also features senior actor Jagadish, and Visak Nair in pivotal roles. Ramzan Muhammed, Anunaya Anoop, Amit Eappen, Leya Mammen, Vishnu G Varrier, Henna Bella, Eithal Evana Sherin, and others appear in supporting roles.
The Jithu Ashraf directorial is scripted by Shahi Kabir. Roby Varghese Raj is the director of photography. Jakes Bejoy composes the songs and the original score. Chaman Chakko handles the editing. The much-awaited project is jointly produced by filmmaker Martin Prakkat, Siby Chavara, and Renjith Nair, under the banners Martin Prakkat Films and Green Room. Officer On Duty is expected to get an early 2025 release.
