October 2023, Week 2 OTT India releases: From Kasargold, Past Lives, Prema Vimanam to Sultan of Delhi, The Fall of the House of Usher

In the second week of October 2023, many Italian, Japanese, English, Spanish, Swedish, Ukrainian, Tamil, Hindi, Marathi, Telugu, Malayalam, and Bengali movies and series will be coming out on OTT.

Kasargold; Past Lives; Prema Vimanam; Sultan of Delhi; The Fall of the House of Usher

The second week of October 2023 has an array of releases across the leading OTT platforms. The Malayalam film Kasargold is releasing on Netflix after its theatrical run. One of the most-loved films, Past Lives, is set for its OTT premiere on Lionsgate Play, while the Disney+ Hotstar series Sultan of Delhi is all set to drop this week. Other interesting titles releasing this week are Big Vape: The Rise and Fall of Juul on Netflix, Prema Vimanam on ZEE5, Shantit Kranti Season 2 on SonyLIV, and The Fall of the House of Usher on Netflix, among others.

The war in Ukraine forces Olga and her granddaughter Milana to flee to a summer camp in the Austrian Alps, where they will face new challenges and grow closer to one another.

Everybody Loves Diamonds - October 13 (Prime Video)

Good Night World - October 12 (Netflix)

In the multiplayer online battle arena known as "Planet," there exists a formidable four-person squad. They're known as "The Akabane Family," and they're a fictional clan with no real-world counterparts. These four actors are a real-life dysfunctional family, but they have no idea. A reclusive sibling. A younger sibling who excels in his endeavours. A dad who doesn't even have his kids' respect. A mother who doesn't prioritise her own family. They have never experienced the love of a family. They don't realise that the comfort of their virtual family is fleeting. Most importantly, they have no idea that they are a family. The plot revolves around the actions of the Akabane family in the MMORPG "Planet," which includes fighting monsters, competing with other guilds, and plotting to obtain the game's ultimate goal, "Black Bird." The plot thickens when the supernatural gets entangled with this genuine family.

Goosebumps - October 13 (Disney+ Hotstar)

Based on the novels by R.L. Stine, Goosebumps tells the story of five teenagers who embark on a dark and twisty journey to uncover the tragic death of a teenager named Harold Biddle three decades earlier, as well as dark secrets from their parents' pasts.

Kasargold - October 13 (Netflix)

Unassuming Albert is a young man who smuggles gold. He and his friend Faisal gamble everything on an insane scheme, hoping to amass enough money to set themselves up for the rest of their lives.

Last One Standing Season 2 - October 10 (Netflix)

The formidable Japanese comic pair Chidori, produced by Nobuyuki Sakuma, will once again enter the tough Japanese talk survival war. The comedians in this exciting scenario will have to compete in a series of talk-offs to advance to the next round. If their improvisational humour doesn't work, they'll be fired. Lessons in Chemistry - October 13 (Apple TV+)

Elizabeth Zott, played by Larson, is a young woman in the early 1950s who wants to be a scientist but finds that the patriarchal culture is impeding her efforts. Elizabeth is fired from her lab work and takes a job as the host of a TV cooking program, where she plans to teach a lot more than just recipes to the nation's underappreciated women and the men who are now listening to them.

Margaux - October 9 (Netflix)

Margaux always gets what she wants. The house's cutting-edge artificial intelligence system, named Margaux, takes on a life of her own as a group of graduating college students celebrate their last days together in a smart house. A fun weekend of drinking is ruined when they learn that Margaux intends to get rid of her renters by whatever means necessary. As the crew tries to outwit the smart house and stay alive, time is running short.

Mathagam Part 2 - October 12 (Disney+ Hotstar)

The "dead" thug from before returns with a complex agenda. Ashwath, an IPS officer, must always be one step ahead of the bad guys if the city is to survive the current crisis.

Once Upon a Star - October 11 (Netflix)

In 1970s Thailand, a travelling movie projection company overcomes obstacles on their way to cities around the country to live-dub popular films for hungry audiences.

Pact of Silence - October 11 (Netflix)

Past Lives - October 13 (Lionsgate Play)

Shantit Kranti Season 2 - October 13 (SonyLIV)

After 18 months together, Shreyas (Abhay Mahajan) announces unexpectedly that he is getting married, and three of the guys decide to take off on an overseas bachelor vacation for him. When they find out that Shreyas isn't even engaged, Prasanna (Lalit Prabhakar) brings his infant, and Dinar (Alok Rajwade) books them on a 6-day pilgrimage to Nepal in a bus with 10 strangers instead of a bachelor's trip, things quickly spiral out of hand.

Sultan of Delhi - October 13 (Disney+ Hotstar)

In Sultan of Delhi, Tahir Raj Bhasin plays Arjun Bhatia, who collaborates with Vinay Pathak's Jagan Seth, Delhi's largest illicit arms dealer, in an effort to re-create the magic of the 1960s. In a high-stakes struggle for control, those around Arjun constantly put him to the test. Arjun's ambition and sense of duty are what motivate him in his quest to become the Sultan of Delhi. However, the path to power is fraught with danger, and only the strongest will survive.

The Burial - October 13 (Prime Video)

Based on real events, the film follows Jeremiah O'Keefe (Tommy Lee Jones), the proprietor of a funeral parlour, as he enlists the help of charming, smooth-talking attorney Willie E. Gary (Jamie Foxx) when a handshake transaction goes sour. In this uplifting and ultimately successful tale, the unlikeliest of partners connect while exposing corporate wrongdoing and racial injustice.

The Conference - October 13 (Netflix)

A team-building exercise quickly turns deadly when a disguised assailant begins following and killing off the attendees one by one. Based on the novel of the same name by Mats Strandberg, The Conference is a slasher comedy.

The Fall of the House of Usher - October 12 (Netflix)

Mike Flanagan (The Haunting of Hill House) is the author and director of this sinister series, which follows the exploits of the wealthy and influential Usher siblings, Roderick and Madeline. But hidden truths emerge when heirs to the Usher family begin to meet violent ends at the hands of a lady they believed to be long dead.
