Srikanto is inspired by Sarat Chandra Chattopadhyay’s eponymous, iconic novel Srikanto and is directed by Sani Ghoshe Ray
Sohini Sarkar, Rishav Basu
SVF music dropped the first song, O Radhe Radhe from their upcoming series Srikanto. The track features Sohini Sarkar and Rishav Basu. O Radhe Radhe is penned by Pralay Sarkar and it is created by Anis Ahmed, Pralay Sarkar and Samanway Samanta. Srijita Mitra has lent her voice to the song. It’s an EDM fusion track with turns filled with uplifting, at times cynical, self-effacing and abstract notes and treatment. The feel of the song atomizes the premise of forbidden love and the visual treatment generates genuine interest.

Sarat Chandra Chattopadhyay was one of the leading literary deities of West Bengal and he published several books like Nishkriti, Chartiraheen, Parineeta, Devdas and Srikanto which were later adapted for the screen and went on to become massive box office hits.
Sohini Sarkar is expected to deliver the magic of her performance in Srikanto and we will be waiting to watch how the director touches upon the socio-cultural gamut of modern times without losing the fervor and flavor of the source material.
In the modern-day retelling of Srikanto, Rajlokkhi (Sohini), who’s a dancer in the novel, falls in love with the vagabond soul Srikanto (Rishav). The director, Sani Ghoshe Ray has previously managed to capture the fascination of the audience with Bonyo Premer Golpo 2.
The trailer for Srikanto will be launched on April 8 and the album has 7 unique tracks created by Pralay Sarkar, Anis Ahmed and Debayan Banerjee.
