Written and directed by Deepak Kolipaka, the romance drama is set for a direct-to-OTT release on this leading platform
Disney+ Hotstar is gradually cementing its authority among Telugu audiences with a slew of releases this year. While it grabbed hold of the Sankranthi biggie Veera Simha Reddy, it has hogged the limelight for a number of shows and post-theatrical releases like Jhansi Season 2, Sadha Nannu Nadipe, Sridevi Shoban Babu, Anger Tales, to name a few.
The streaming giant has now acquired another Telugu film for a direct-to-OTT release. The platform’s next release is O Kala, a romance drama starring Gourish Yeleti, Roshni Sahota and Prachi Thacker in the lead roles. The film is written and directed by Deepak Kolipaka. Navya Mahesh M, Aditya Reddy and Ranjith Kumar Kodali bankrolled the film under Eternity Entertainment and Aham Asmi Films.

The makers, who released the promos and the lyrical videos of the film a few months ago, have sealed the deal for a direct premiere on Disney+ Hotstar for a fancy price. The film will be landing on the platform on April 13. The trailer of the drama was unveiled today in the presence of noted producer Dil Raju.
The trailer showcases the highs and lows in the relationship of a young couple. The youngster is chasing a career in films and the girl believes that he’s leading a rosy life sans hassles. A filmmaker troubles the aspirant actor and makes him do odd jobs on sets while the latter’s relationship progresses smoothly. However, a misunderstanding forces them to part ways. Is there a happy ending in store?
Raghavendra, Ali play important roles in O Kala. Neelesh Mandalapu scores the music for the film which has cinematography by Akhil Valluri. Satya Giduturi is the editor. Chandrakiran is the choreographer while Krishna Chaitanya, Rakendu Mouli and Nikhat Khan are the lyricists. Sistla VMK is the production designer.
