A case was filed against Nusrat for her alleged connection with Seven Senses Infrastructure Pvt Ltd as a director.
Actress Nusrat Jahan appeared in Alipore Lower Court on January 20 about the ‘flat fraud case’. Earlier, she appealed to the court to allow her lawyer to appear on her behalf. However, her appeal was rejected. She was asked to appear by January 24. The actress-turned-politician appeared on January 20 along with her lawyer. According to reports, she was granted anticipatory bail.
A case was filed against Nusrat for her alleged connection with Seven Senses Infrastructure Pvt Ltd as a director. In 2014, the company collected Rs 5 lakh each for 429 retired bank employees, who wished to buy apartments from the company. They flats were never handed over and the case of fraud was filed.
Based on their allegation, Kolkata police and ED investigators started their probe. The MP was called by ED. Nusrat went to CGO complex and faced ED investigators for six hours.
Later, in a press conference the actress claimed that she resigned from her position way before the allegations were brought. She also said that she borrowed money from the company and she paid that back.
