Nunakuzhi praised for its humour

For Nunakuzhi, Jeethu Joseph deviated from his typical thriller-making approach, heightening viewer anticipation before to the film's theatrical debut. With this film, director Basil Joseph and actor Basil Joseph teamed up on screen for the first time. Siddique, Manoj K Jayan, Saiju Kurup, Aju Varghese, Baiju Santhosh, and Althaf Salim all have supporting roles.

The film is centred on the MD of Poozhikunnel Group of Companies, Eby Zacharia, who becomes entangled in an unforeseen income tax investigation in his head office. Eby finds himself having to approach a problem differently as it starts to become more personal than professional. But things take a strange turn when he meets a movie star, a broken couple, a "deceased" dentist, and a squad of police officers. The film mostly focusses on how hysterically each of them resolves these problems.

A dark comedy with a light-hearted touch, Nunakuzhi centres on misinterpretations and erroneous perceptions brought about by a variety of lies. Regarding the light-hearted component that has proved beneficial for the film, the director kept up his attempts to make the most of every member of the cast. Its ability to fit the film into a decent running duration without boring the viewer was one of its numerous appealing characteristics.
