Mythri Movie Makers finally break silence on Prashanth Neel - Jr. NTR film

When Prashanth Neel announced that he would be working with Telugu superstar Jr. NTR on his next, fans could not keep calm for obvious reasons. Neel is currently among the most sought-after directors in India following the thumping global success of KGF 2 and the news of his collaboration with the mighty Jr. NTR, a global phenomenon himself, was to undoubtedly generate a lot of hype and hysteria all over. However, owing to their respective busy schedules and other commitments, one wasn't certain about the development of the project and especially the tentative commencement of the shoot.

Prashanth Neel is currently neck-deep busy in concluding his Telugu debut, the magnum opus Salaar. The film, which stars Prabhas and has Hombale Films producing it, is set to release globally on September 28, 2023, and the team, from what we gather, is striving extremely hard to bring it all together before the D-Day. Taarak, on the other hand, is busy shooting for his 30th film Devara, which marks his second collaboration with filmmaker Koratala Siva. Janhvi Kapoor stars in the mega film as the female lead with Adipurush actor Saif Ali Khan playing the antagonist.

Not to forget, Jr. NTR is also slated to make his Bollywood debut with Yash Raj Films' War 2 alongside Hrithik Roshan. The spy action thriller will be directed by Ayan Mukerji.

So, does this jam-packed schedule put NTR 31 in jeopardy? Well, one certainly feared of that coming true but turns out that they were false alarms after all! Yes, on the special occasion of NTR's 40th birthday (May 20), NTR 31's producers Mythri Movie Makers took to social media to make an all-important announcement concerning the Prashanth Neel directorial. Wishing the RRR star a very happy birthday, team NTR 31 announced through a poster that the much-awaited collaboration, quite indeed, will go on floors as expected - Prashanth Neel, Jr. NTR and co. are set to take their film on floors in March 2024.

And how did the fans react to this grand announcement? Well, needless to say, many of them are overjoyed to know that the film is finally being discussed but quite a few of them are also wary of the other commitments that both entities (Neel and NTR) have to tackle. But with the formal word now dispersed into the ether, one can surely hope that everything falls into place as planned. More updates to follow.
