Not Kareena Kapoor but Sharmila Tagore wants Sara Ali Khan and 'this' actress to play her for her biopic

This time, Saif Ali Khan and his legendary mother, Sharmila Tagore, will appear on Karan Johar's show, Koffee With Karan Season 8.

For the first time, Sharmila Tagore and her son Saif Ali Khan will appear on host Karan Johar's show for the upcoming episode of Koffee With Karan season 8. Additionally, the recently released promo piques viewers' curiosity when Sharmila divulges an untold tale about one of Saif's past romances.

The names of the two actresses Sharmila wants to play herself in her biography are now public knowledge. According to Pinkvilla, the actresses said that she wants Sara Ali Khan and Alia Bhatt to play in her biopic.

During the renowned rapid-fire round, Karan asked Sharmila who she thought would be a good fit for a biopic based on her life. Sharmila named her granddaughter Sara Ali Khan, and none other than Alia Bhatt. She said, “If it's done now, I would say Alia, and if it's perhaps a little later, I would say Sara.”

Sharing the promo of the episode, which will be out on Thursday, Karan Johar wrote: “A royal brew is on the menu for this week! Catch the mother-son duo, Sharmila Tagore & Saif Ali Khan on the latest episode of #KoffeeWithKaranS8.”

Saif Ali Khan will next be seen with Janhvi Kapoor and Jr. NTR in the Pan-Indian movie 'Devara.' The film is produced by Sudhakar Mikkilineni and Kosaraju Harikrishna under the banners Yuvasudha Arts and N. T. R.

Sharmila Tagore projects

In the meantime, Sharmila Tagore made her acting debut in Satyajit Ray's critically acclaimed Bengali drama 'The World of Apu' at the age of 14. In addition to making a name for herself in Bengali cinema, she rose to prominence in Bollywood. She performed in several films, including 'Daag,' 'Amar Prem,' 'Safar,' and 'Kashmir Ki Kali.' She worked opposite several well-known figures in the profession, including the late great Dilip Kumar and Bollywood actors Rajesh Khanna, Dharmendra, Shammi Kapoor, Amitabh Bachchan, and Sanjeev Kumar.

She was last seen in 'Gulmohar,' a family drama also starring Manoj Bajpayee.
