Ahead of the CCL 2024, Darling Krishna is not the top run getter of the tournament

In the 10th season of the Celebrity Cricket League, one batsman who has been the talk of town is none other than the Karnataka Bulldozers’ big hitter Darling Krishna. The actor had 4 consecutive half century knocks, and he was the top scorer of the tournament for a while. But then Krishna failed to fire in the last group stage match against the Telugu Warriors, and in the first qualifier against the Bengal Tigers, which meant that someone else sneaked past him and holds the top scorer of the tournament position.

CCL 2024: 4 consecutive half century knocks; Darling Krishna needs to play for RCB, say netizens

At the start of the second qualifier between the Bengal Tigers and the Mumbai Heroes, a match that will decide who plays the Bulldozers in the final on March 17, it was not Darling Krishna, but the Tigers’ Jammy Banerjee who led the scoreboard as the top batsman of the tournament. The actor-filmmaker had 310 runs to his credit, during his knock of 65 in the first innings of the match. When he came in for the second innings, Jammy had a sum total of 353 runs in his kitty, to which he could add only 3 more.

Krishna is still in second position, with 302 runs in his kitty, followed by Rahul at 226, who’s added 26 and 17 to that total after qualifier 2, putting him at 269 runs. In fourth place is Vikranth from the Chennai Rhinos with 225 runs and in fifth is Ashwin Babu from the Telugu Warriors with 210 runs. While Vikranth and Ashwin will not be adding to their overall scores, what with their teams having been eliminated from the tournament.
