‘Not Anurag Kashyap’: Mandana Karimi clarifies about the filmmaker she spoke about in Lock Upp
Mandana Karimi had revealed that the filmmaker planned a baby with her and then forced her for an abortion.

Mandana Karimi has finally clarified that the filmmaker she spoke about on Lock Upp was not Anurag Kashyap. Mandana was recently evicted from Kangana Ranaut’s show and she has finally spoken up about the incident. While not revealing too much, Mandana did clarify it wasn’t Anurag, like most assumed.
Mandana told Times of India that it wasn’t the name that people thought about – Anurag Kashyap. She said that the filmmaker was and is still her friend. Calling the headlines ‘unfortunate and unethical’, Mandana said that assuming the filmmaker’s name was not done.

The actress even called out the portal for claiming that she said the filmmaker she was dating was her friend previously. “I didn’t become an actress yesterday,” she exclaimed while accusing the media of twisting her words. Mandana then clarified that the person she dated was not her friend.
The Bhaag Johnny actress had revealed a big secret on Lock Upp. She revealed being in a live-in relationship with a filmmaker that she still refuses to name. Not just live-in, the two, as Mandana claimed, planned a baby and then, she had to abort the baby because he wasn’t ready. Things got worse when right after the abortion, this filmmaker asked Mandana to leave the house they were living in.
After her confession, social media users tried to do some digging about the filmmaker Mandana spoke about but did not name him. Since the actress had come out in support of Anurag at a given point of time, that too during the #MeToo movement, these users assumed that she was involved with the filmmaker. Now, Mandana has clarified that she was talking about someone else.
Mandana Karimi was a part of Kangana Ranaut’s Lock Upp. She entered the show as a wild card contestant and before her eviction, Mandana was prepared to go out of the show. She was voted out because of low votes and stated that all the kaidis are very fierce at the given point and she isn’t in the head space to deal with that currently. Post that, Kangana gave Mandana an opportunity to re-enter Lock Upp in season 2.
