The horror-sci-fi Nope is currently streaming on Netflix
Jordan Peele, Still from Nope
Jordan Peele's last directorial, Nope, is a story about a brother and sister, who are the heirs of a struggling horse ranch, who witness something beyond the realm of explanation—a chilling anomaly that threatens their livelihood and sanity. Meanwhile, across the valley, a vibrant theme park owner sees not menace but opportunity—a chance to capitalise on the strange spectacle and rewrite his own fading fame.
Following the critical acclaim of Nope, Jordan Peele took a 2023 hiatus to recharge his creative batteries. Now, he's back with attractive whispers of his upcoming projects, promising adventures laced with his signature brand of quirk and commentary.

Jordan Peele's revelation
While attending the ‘Conan O’Brien Needs a Friend’ podcast, Peele did not actually reveal the names of his next projects, but he surely spilled that, “I do feel like my next project is clear to me, and I’m psyched that I have another film that, you know, could be my favourite movie if I make it right.”
How SAG-AFTRA inspired Peele
Last year's SAG-AFTRA strike proved to be an unexpected learning curve for the 44-year-old director. Peele shared that he spent time listening to actors, delving into their concerns, and struggling with the complex issues brewing in Hollywood. This invaluable experience broadened his perspective and provided him with a deeper understanding of the industry's challenges and aspirations.
Universal Pictures' announcement
While Jordan Peele stayed absolutely secretive about his next project, Universal Pictures last year announced that his next highly anticipated film is slated for a Christmas Day 2024 release. The film was previously scheduled to release last year at Christmas. Due to the SAG-AFTRA strike, Universal Pictures was forced to postpone the release.
Nope's OTT streaming
Comedian Jordan Peele’s directorial debut, Get Out, has been a blockbuster hit in 2017 with a collection of $255 million at the box office worldwide. The film’s huge success has earned it four Oscar nominations in 2018. However, his latest directorial, Nope, is currently streaming on Netflix.
