Where to watch Nomadland online:

Nomadland will release on the Indian OTT platform Disney+ Hotstar on April 30.

5 reasons to watch Nomadland:

1. The story

Set in the era after 2008’s Great Depression Nomadland is the story of a widow Fern who lives out of a van and travels the world in search for work. The movie has been adapted from Jessica Bruder's book Nomadland: Serving in the Twenty-First Century.

2. Frances McDormand’s acting

Frances McDormand has always managed to captivate the audience and with Nomadland she does the same. That she won the Academy Award for her stellar performance as Fern in the movie should come as no surprise to those who have already watched the film.

3. Screenplay adapted by Chloe Zhao

Zhao has adapted the screenplay of Nomadland and made it even more relevant. It does not add melodrama and stays rooted to reality. The way the story has been narrated simply but effectively, makes the film extremely watchable.

4. A memorable experience thanks to the scenery

Zhao has also been particular about the locations of the film. Shot across the US (South Dakota, Nebraska, Arizona, Nevada, and California), the visuals add so much to the story of Fern and her adventures across the country.
