Unlike Season 1, Nobody Wants This Season 2 will not have Erin Foster as the showrunner. While Foster remains the creative voice behind the second season, Jenni Konner and Bruce Eric Kaplan of Girls fame will take over as showrunners and creative producers. There is no confirmation yet on whether there will be any cast changes. Netflix has also not revealed any synopsis for the new season.

"It's a dream to be working on Nobody Wants This" Konner said in an interview with Variety. "Erin is a rare creator with a crystal clear voice and a genuinely collaborative spirit. I am a true fan of Erin's show and feel so lucky to be back in a room with two of my favorites, Bruce Kaplan and [writer] Sarah Heyward from Girls." Kaplan added, "I am excited beyond belief to be a part of Season 2 of Nobody Wants This, created by the hilarious Erin Foster. It’s such a unique and beautiful show, and I’m already having the best time working on it."

The official synopsis for Nobody Wants This reads: The show follows the relationship between Joanne (Kristen Bell), a sex podcaster who's unlucky in love, and Noah (Adam Brody), a rabbi recently out of a long-term relationship. The couple's interfaith relationship faces resistance, and Joanne struggles to navigate her identity as an outsider in Noah's religious world. Clearly, by now, everyone does want this, and it’s coming true. At this point, there is no release date or production details for the second season, but time will tell when it finally lands on Netflix.
