Nna Thaan Case Kodu’s lovebirds to reunite for Ratheesh Balakrishnan Poduval’s next; here’s all about the film

Following the success of his previous film Nna Thaan Case Kodu, Ratheesh Balakrishnan Poduval is all set to bring back the iconic characters in this film with Sureshinteyum Sumalathayudeyum Hridayahaariyaaya Pranayakatha (The Heartening Love Story of Sureshan and Sumalatha). These well-liked characters from Nna Thaan Case Kodu are known for their uncomplicated and lighthearted romance.

In this movie, Rajesh Madhavan and Chithra Nair will play Sureshan and Sumalatha, respectively, again. Although the film's post-production work is in progress, the exact date of its theatrical release has not yet been disclosed by the producers. Meanwhile, they have disclosed that the film will narrate a story over three different time periods.

Kunchacko Boban, who portrayed Kozhummal Rajeevan in Nna Thaan Case Kodu, will take on the same role in this movie. The filming of Sureshinteyum Sumalathayudeyum Hridayahaariyaaya Pranayakatha was completed last month.

Viewers speculated that Ramesh and Chithra are actually getting married after seeing a ‘Save the Date’ video and invitation that Ratheesh shared on social media. They eventually learned that this was a hint for the director's next movie.

According to sources, the songs’ rights of this movie has been bought by Sony Music. Appan and Kaapa-fame Dawn Vincent has composed the film’s eight songs, penned by Vaisakh Sugunan. The film was shot over a shooting schedule of 100 days at Payyannur and nearby areas. The director himself has written the screenplay for the film. Emmanuel Joseph and Ajith Thalapalli have bankrolled the film. Ratheesh Balakrishnan Poduval, Jay K, and Vivek Harshan are the co-producers, while Sabin Ooralukandi is the cinematographer.

Ratheesh’s third directorial

Expectations from the public are high over the reunion of Kunchacko Boban and Ratheesh Balakrishnan Poduval for a film. The duo’s Nna Thaan Case Kodu, which is streaming on Disney+ Hotstar, was a hit with its satical elements. The film bagged seven recognitions at the 53rd Kerala State Film Awards. Ratheesh made his directorial debut with Android Kunjappan Version 5.25 in 2019.
