Nna Thaan Case Kodu spin-off: Kunchacko Boban in for a guest role?

Nna Thaan Case Kodu, helmed by Ratheesh Balakrishnan Poduval has recently bagged seven awards in the new edition of Kerala State Film Awards. During the announcement of the awards, the director was on the set of his new film, Sureshinteyum Sumalathayudeyum Hridayahariyaya Pranayakatha, a spin-off of Nna Thaan Case Kodu.

Actors Rajesh Madhavan and Chithra Nair, who play the central characters in the spin-off, will reprise their roles in the original film. The spin-off revolves around the story of lovers Suresh, an auto driver, and Sumalatha, a teacher. The director decided to make a spin-off after the original film and the two characters received popularity. Recently, a Save the Date video was released by the actor, Rajesh, following a wedding invitation. In the video, both Rajesh and Chithra, dressed in vibrant attire were seen dancing and embracing.

Both the video and invitation card confused the viewers and the netizens couldn’t understand whether the updates were real or movie promotions. Later the puzzle was solved when the looks of the characters got out.Now the latest rumour is that the actor Kunchacko Boban will be also seen in a guest role in the new film. The actor played the central character of a thief in the original movie. Nna Thaan Case Kodu depicts the story of Rajeevan, a former thief who gets accused in a case, he hasn’t committed. Determined to prove his innocence, Rajeevan argues his case and takes on the legal system.

The film is a poignant political satire under the guise of a courtroom drama.

Nna Thaan Case Kodu won seven awards in the Kerala State Film Awards including the Best Film with Popular Appeal. Kunchacko Boban for his performance, got the Special Jury Award for acting.
