Director Ram’s last movie was Peranbu, starring Mammooty.
Nivin Pauly announced in August that he will be collaborating with director Ram for a Tamil movie. The latest update about the movie is that it has begun its shoot in Dhanushkodi.
Entertainment industry tracker Ramesh Bala shared the news on Twitter along with photos from the set.
The untitled project is backed by Suresh Kamatchi under the banner of V House Production. The movie will also feature Anjali and Soori in pivotal roles.
Fan favourite music director Yuvan Shankar Raja, who has previously collaborated with director Ram in all his projects, will compose the music.
Pauly, who is a popular actor in Kerala also has a large number of fans in Tamil Nadu. The actor’s 2015 Malayalam movie Premam had a smashing run in Tamil Nadu, which helped him garner fans in the state.
This is Pauly’s third Tamil movie after Richie directed by Gautham Ramachandran and Neram, the bilingual film directed by Alphonse Puthren.
The movie will mark Ram’s fourth directorial. Having worked under the legendary Balu Mahendra, he made his debut in 2007 with Kattradhu Thamizh which went on to garner critical acclaim.
His last movie, Peranbu came out in 2019 starring Mammootty in the lead role.
