Nivin Pauly's Premam to re-release in Tamil Nadu for the third time ahead of V-day?

It appears that Tamil Nadu's Premam fever is still going strong! Recent reports state that the Malayalam movie will be rereleased in theatres in the state. It is also anticipated that the romantic drama will return to theatres in time for Valentine's Day.
The makers of the movie have not yet verified this information, though. In 2016 and 2017, Premam was rereleased twice in Tamil Nadu. During the Valentine's Day weekend in 2017, Jazz Cinemas in Chennai re-released the movie along with Raja Rani and Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa.
Huge fan base for Alphonse Puthren’s Premam
Alphonse Puthren's film Premam chronicles George and his fri ends' romantic journey from teenage years to adulthood. The film's organic yet appealing storyline, stunning cinematography, and stellar cast—which included several debutantes, particularly the female leads—all contributed to its enormous critical acclaim and fan base. Because of its dynamic soundtracks, this romantic drama also became well-liked among young people.
The film received praise for its ability to arouse nostalgia for the 1980s and 1990s generation as well as aspects that attracted a national audience of aspiring filmmakers. Nivin Pauly also gained a tremendous following thanks to Premam; his supporters referred to it as the movie that altered his course in life. It also gave Sai Pallavi, Madonna Sebastian, and Anupama Parameswaran—three young female leads who went on to become well-known South Indian actresses—a strong start in their careers.
Shabareesh Varma, Krishna Sankar, Vinay Forrt, Soubin Shahir, Siju Wilson, and Sharafudheen also played prominent roles in this movie.
Rave reviews and reception from the audience
Premam went on to become a cult classic in Malayalam after receiving positive reviews from both Malayalis and outsiders, particularly during a lull in the Mollywood film business marked by a few box office setbacks.
Both the public and critics had given Premam excellent reviews, and the movie ran successfully in theatres for several days. Due to demand, the film had extra showings in several theatres in Kerala after surpassing Bangalore Days and Keralavarma Pazhassiraja's opening day collections.
