Malayalee From India is scheduled to hit theatres on May 1
Actor Nivin Pauly, who was recently seen in an extended cameo role in Vineeth Srinivasan's Varshangalkku Shesham, is awaiting the release of upcoming film titled Malayalee From India. The film is scheduled to hit theatres on May 1 and is expected to bring the actor much-needed success at the box office after Nivin's recent films failed to have a commercial success. Meanwhile, the information on the plot and runtime of the film has been doing rounds on social media.
Directed by Dijo Jose Antony, besides Nivin Pauly, Malayalee From India also stars actors Anaswara Rajan, Dhyan Sreenivasan, Shine Tom Chacko and Manju Pillai in important roles. Veteran actors Salim Kumar and Vijayakumar are also part of the cast.
The film's runtime is revealed to be 170 minutes, nearly clocking three hours. Touted to be a comedy, Malayalaee From India will revolve around a Kerala native who has to move to abroad in order to save his life. However, when he realises what is awaiting there for him, his life turns topsy turvy. According to the teaser, the main character of Malayalee From India is Aalparambil Gopi, a silly young man whose peculiar hairstyle goes well with his antics.

The script for the upcoming film is penned by Sharis Mohammed with Listin Stephen bankrolling it under Pauly Jr Pictures and Magic Frames. Jakes Bejoy has scored the music for the film. Sreejith Sarang has edited the film with Sudeep Elaman as the cinematographer.
Nivin Pauly has been facing unfavourable responses for his films in the recent times. His features like Ramachandra Boss & Co, Thuramukham, Saturday Night, Mahaveeryar, which have released in past couple of years, did not yield positive response or financial success upon release.
However, his recent extended cameo appearance in Pranav Mohanlal and Dhyan Sreenivasan’s Varshangalkku Shesham, as actor Nithin Molly, received thunderous applause. Especially when the character was modelled after his real self as a star who had been giving duds at the box office recently.
