The pooja function of the movie, which has Dubai and Karnataka as its main locations, was held on Wednesday
Mollywood star Nivin Pauly and director Rosshan Andrrews, who had previously teamed up for the period action-thriller Kayamkulam Kochunni, are set to collaborate again for a big budget film this year.
The pooja function of the movie, which is scripted by Naveen Bhaskar, was held on Wednesday in Kottarakkara. The film, which is set to go on floors by April 20, will have Dubai, Bengaluru and Mysore as its principal locations. Apart from Nivin, the movie also has Siju Wilson, Saiju Kurup, Aju Varghese and Saniya Iyyappan as part of its cast.
While the genre of the film as well as the actor’s character are kept under wraps, the movie is expected to be an entertainer. R Divakaran will be cranking the camera and Jakes Bejoy will be composing for the film, which is produced by Vinayaka Ajith.
Rosshan’s previous collaboration with Nivin was also one of the biggest projects in the latter’s career. The superhit film, which also had Mohanlal, Sunny Wayne and Babu Antony, was scripted by Bobby and Sanjay duo. Rosshan’s latest release was the investigative thriller Salute, which had Dulquer Salmaan in the lead. The movie was a direct-to-OTT release that is currently streaming on Sony LIV.
Meanwhile, Nivin recently wrapped up shooting for his Tamil venture with National Award-winning filmmaker Ram, who had previously helmed Mammootty’s Peranbu. Nivin also completed shooting for Padavettu last month and has two films gearing up for release next.
The first of these will be the Abrid Shine directorial Mahaveeryar, which is a time-travel, fantasy drama that also has Asif Ali, Lal and Shanvi Srivastava playing crucial characters. The movie is expected to hit theatres in May. Nivin will also be seen sharing screen space with Indrajith Sukumaran, Darshana Rajendran, Poornima Indrajith and Joju George in Rajeev Ravi’s period-drama Thuramukham.
