Nivin Pauly, Nayanthara team up for Dear Students; first look poster is out

Nayanthara is going through an excellent phase in her acting career, with some promising projects in her kitty. The lady superstar is set to make a comeback to the Malayalam film industry with the upcoming drama, Dear Students. The movie, directed by debutant director duo Sandeep Kumar and George Philip Roy, is produced by Nivin Pauly under the banner, Pauly Jr Pictures. The Dear Students first look poster, featuring Nayanthara and Nivin Pauly, is now winning the internet.

Recently, producer Nivin Pauly and the other cast and crew members of Dear Students took to their official social media handles, and dropped the Dear Students first look poster. “New Year and New Stories. Gearing up for this exciting journey in 2025,” reads Nivin Pauly’s first look poster. Nayanthara looks her usual best in a yellow salwar and ponytail in the first look poster, which features actor-producer Nivin in an uber-cool avatar, with an apron and sunglasses.

If the reports are to be believed, Nayanthara plays the central character in Dear Students, which is touted to be a drama, based on the student and teacher relationships. Nivin Pauly is rumoured to be making an extended cameo appearance in the Sandeep Kumar and George Philip Roy directorial, which is expected to hit the big screens during summer 2025. More updates on the much-awaited film are expected to be out very soon.

Nayanthara and Nivin Pauly’s work fronts

The popular actress is reportedly playing the female lead in the upcoming Mammootty-Mohanlal starrer, directed by editor-filmmaker Mahesh Narayanan. Nayanthara, however, is yet to start filming for the filming, which has been tentatively titled MMMN. Her other upcoming projects including Test, Mannangatti Since 1960, Yash starrer Toxic, Vishnu Edavan’s directorial debut, Rakkaiye, and Mookuthi Amman 2.

Nivin Pauly, on the other hand, is gearing up to make his OTT debut with the upcoming Disney+ Hotstar series, titled Pharma. The much-awaited series is expected to get a release by the summer of 2025. He is also teaming up with popular actor-filmmaker Vineeth Sreenivasan, and director Aryan Ramani Girijavallabhan, for his next outings.
