We had earlier reported that actor Nithya Menen has joined the cast of the upcoming Tamil film Idly Kadai starring and directed by Dhanush. Recently, the actor opened up about the project and talked about reuniting with Dhanush once again with Thiruchitrambalam.

Idly Kadai is an upcoming Tamil film which will star Dhanush in the lead role. The film is also directed by Dhanush. Recently, Nithya Menen who shared the screen space with Dhanush in Thiruchitrambalam, confirmed that she is part of the film, marking her second collaboration with Dhanush.

Recently, in an interview, Nithya Menen did not divulge any details about the film, given it is in the early stages of production, but said she has shot a few days for the film. Referring to her role in Thiruchitrambalam, the actor said, "If Shobana was getting outside the comfort zone, in Idly Kadai, I had to get doubly outside my comfort zone. He has again put me in a position doing something which no one would picture me playing. He always gives me things that are very, very challenging to do.”

Idly Kadai is touted to be a light-hearted family drama. A release date is yet to be announced. GV Prakash Kumar is scoring music for the film.
