Ramayana has emerged as one of the most talked-about projects in Indian cinema in recent years. Casting the roles of Lord Ram, Raavan, Sita, and Lord Hanuman, respectively, has been a casting coup for director Nitesh Tiwari and producers DNEG, who have enlisted the talents of Ranbir Kapoor, Yash, Sai Pallavi, and Sunny Deol. Since March, when filming began on location in Mumbai, the makers have been busy. It was originally supposed to be a trilogy, but now the Ramayana is actually a two-part film.

Ramayana's filming schedule and structure

According to reports on Pinkvilla, rumour has it that Tiwari and company are now filming Ramayana a two-part epic starring Sunny, Ranbir, Yash, and Sai Pallavi. The filmmakers have decided to split the plot into two parts because of the film's massive scope and grandeur. An insider revealed that Ramayana Part 2 production will begin at the same time as Part 1, even though most people in the industry wait for Part 1's outcomes before filming Part 2.

Additionally, the source informed the entertainment portal that they plan to shoot a significant portion of Ramayana Part Two prior to the release of the first part. The crew has planned a 350-day shoot for the two Ramayana films, which will have both solo and combined scenes with the complete star cast. The source further stated that the release of both Ramayana films will occur in the same year.

Timeline and consistency in filming

Now that production on their two-part Ramayana has begun, Nitesh Tiwari and DNEG hope to wrap up by the year 2025. Shooting for both Ramayanas will wrap up in December 2025, and post-production will begin at the same time. To ensure that the performers maintain a consistent look throughout the film, the source plans the schedules sequentially. They also stated that the first part's filming will reveal the release date of Ramayana.

The film's official launch will soon reveal a major audiovisual component showcasing the international talent participating in Ramayana. Actors hail from all throughout India, but the technical crew is a unique blend of Indian and international experts.

As the entertainment portal previously mentioned, Hans Zimmer and AR Rahman are composing the Ramayana's score. In addition to the two films, DNEG is writing a Hanuman spin-off that could, in some alternate universe, constitute the epic's third instalment.
