The film by Shiva Tejas also has Megha Shetty in the lead
Maley director Shiva Tejas’ next is the in-production Dil Pasand, which has Darling Krishna, Nishvika Naidu and Megha Shetty in the lead. During the title launch, the filmmaker had said that the film was an intense love story, a genre that he considers a personal favourite. While he had remained tight-lipped about further details, Shiva had said that he would release a first look soon enough, and he has kept that promise, revealing images of Nishvika and Krishna. Megha’s look is still under wraps.
“The first thing that struck me about Shiva Tejas’ script narration was how it had me smiling throughout – from start to end. I found the story cute and extremely entertaining. Every scene will be full of fun. For me, films have to either make me laugh or cry. Dil Pasand is a feel-good happy romantic comedy film that will have you smile/laugh all the time,” said Krishna about the film.
For Nishvika, who is playing a village belle in Guru Shishyaru and is in desi attire in this week’s Sakath, Dil Pasand is a return to playing a glamorous role. “In this film with Krishna, I am back to being all glamorous, as a rich spoilt brat, which is fun. My look and the way I speak is very different in this film. I’ve known Krishna for a while and spoke about working together; finally, it’s worked out.”
The film will only be the second film for Megha Shetty, who will debut with the Ganesh-starrer Tribble Riding. “I have a cute character in this entertainer. I thank Shiva sir for considering me apt for this role,” she says.
Dil Pasand will also star Rangayana Raghu, Sadhu Kokila, Tabla Nani, Aruna Balraj and Giri Shivanna, among others, on the cast, while Arjun Janya is onboard for the music. Shiva Tejas will shoot the talkie portions of the film in Bengaluru, with only the songs to be canned in more picturesque locations, either in India or abroad, which is yet to be decided.
