A still from the video
Dasvi was released on Netflix and Jio Cinema a few weeks ago with a lot of appreciation for the actors' performances. The social-comedy movie talks about the importance of education in society. The global OTT giant has recently released a BTS video from the film that sees Nimrat Kaur talking about her badass character alongside Abhishek Bachchan and Yami Gautam.
The video begins with Nimrat quoting a phrase for her character saying, "Nimmo had to become Bimmo, basically." "I have never been offered such a part. I haven't even seen something like this on-screen. She can't even speak properly in front of her husband. And, after that, there are people touching her feet, saluting her wherever she goes, making her arrogant. She feels like she is on top of the world.
The video further features a few glimpses from the film featuring the actress and other cast members including Abhishek. The montage also offers a peek at the sets of the film and BTS footage to the audience.
Meanwhile, director Tushar Jalota also talks about Bimla as a character in the film. "Bimla, as a character is fearful, submissive and homely. She is your typical desi woman. Nimrat has added so many layers to the characters that she has played and it has been a dream just watching her do that.
In the end, Nimrat mentions that it has been a satisfactory experience for her working in Dasvi.
