Nikhil Siddharth’s next with director Sudheer Varma to get a straight-to-OTT release

The actor-director duo has previously worked on Swamy Ra Ra and Keshava

Nikhil Siddharth’s last release was the 2019 hit Arjun Suravaram, but has not been seen on screen since, and his fans have been eagerly looking forward to news of his next.

Nikhil had teamed up with director Sudheer Varma for a third time, and the latest reports about the movie suggests that it could skip a theatrical release and head straight to OTT.

According to a report by Mirchi 9, the yet-to-be-titled project is looking for a direct-OTT release. Sources close to the project have said that the makers are in advanced talks with a couple of top OTT platforms, as they look to take the movie straight to screens at home. The source has also told Mirchi 9 that ZEE5 is in pole position to win the race. There has been no official communication from the makers so far.

Nikhil and Sudheer have previously worked on two movies, making this their third collaboration. Their first project, Swamy Ra Ra, was a crime comedy which received positive reviews. Their second collaboration, Keshava came out in 2017 and received mixed reviews.

Nikhil is currently also working on 18 Pages, a romantic comedy written by Sukumar and directed by Palnati Surya Pratap. The makers of the movie, which also stars Anupama Parameswaran, released a promo video earlier this week. The video, which comes with music from Gopi Sundar, has already notched up over one million views on YouTube.
