Manohara will be helming the untitled project which is slated to go on floors in April of 2023.
Nikhil Kumarswamy's birthday often comes with a special announcement and this time around, too, fans weren't disappointed. The actor-politician, who celebrates his 33rd birthday today (January 22nd), is all set to don yet another avatar for the silver screen as he announces his next big collaboration. Nikhil's next, a sports drama, is being produced by K.P. Sreekanth and G. Manoharan, the same duo that's currently backing Upendra's much-awaited UI.
The makers of Nikhil Kumarswamy's upcoming project took to social media to unveil the first look of the film which reveals the actor's brooding and brawny character in the film. Clad in a sports jersey with a scoreboard in the background and a tagline that reads 'I am here to win. Not to Compete', the first-look poster suggests that the film will be an intense sports drama that includes commercial elements as well. Manohara will be helming the untitled project which is slated to go on floors in April of 2023.
This would be Nikhil's only fifth outing as an actor after having made his debut in 2016 with Jaguar. Since then, the 33-year-old has been juggling between his political and acting careers but is yet to find firm footing in either space. Having contested for the 2019 Lok Sabha elections from the Mandya constituency, Nikhil Kumarswamy was defeated by fellow actor and independent candidate Sumalatha Ambareesh in the pursuits. Regardless, Nikhil continued remaining in the thick of the political action and reportedly, is eyeing a comeback, of sorts, in the upcoming elections.
Not very long ago, Nikhil and his wife Revathi welcomed their first child and beckoned to a new phase of their life together. The couple later named their son Avyaan Dev.
As far as his acting career is concerned, he was last seen in the 2022 action-drama Rider and aside from the sports drama discussed above, he has Yaduveera in the pipeline.
