The report says that there were no negative reasons behind Tom Holland rejecting the offer to play Seaplane in Jumanji: Welcome To The Jungle. The reason is said to be that Holland was busy shooting for Spider-Man: Homecoming at the time, which led to him not accepting the Jumanji character because he had no time.
Talking to The Hollywood Reporter once about playing Seaplane in Jumanji the star was asked if he was nervous. He said, “I was about 5 or 6 when I first watched it. I rented it at this place called Blockbuster. (Laughs.) It freaked me out when I first saw it, like it did for a lot of people. And you fall in love with it, and it became a huge part of my childhood. When I read the script, I was blown away by the approach they were taking and the idea of this body swap. Being sucked into the game this time was a really fresh take, and you get to work with these incredible actors. It was a dream scenario.”
