Catch these three Malayalam OTT releases on Disney+ Hotstar, Saina Play and Manorama Max in the final week of July
After a lull on OTTs with extremely limited Malayalam films releasing, the final week of July promises to be a treat. Already three Malayalam films of various genres – a dog movie, a heist thriller and a dark comedy set during the pandemic lockdown – have locked their release dates. This is, in addition to the two big theatrical releases – Dileep’s Voice of Sathyanathan and Vineeth Sreenivasan’s Kurukkan.

Neymar
Debutant filmmaker Sudhi Maddison’s entertainer, starring Naslen and Mathew Thomas in the lead, is set to release on OTT after a theatrical run that has spanned over 50 days. The film revolves around two youngsters – Akamsh and Sinto. The latter advises Sinto to get a dog to win the heart of a girl he has a huge crush on. But the dog, named Neymar, unleashes chaos in his and his parents’ lives. How Neymar also leads them to a series of misadventures form the plot of the movie.

Kolla
Two enterprising women – Annie and Shilpa – move to a village with plans of starting a beauty parlour. However, after a bank, on the floor above their parlour, gets robbed, they become the prime suspects. How the duo try to prove their innocence while also revealing the secrets they decided to rent out the space beneath the bank form the plot of this heist thriller, starring Rajisha Vijayan and Priya Prakash Varrier.

Njan Ippo Entha Cheyya
Debutant filmmaker Vijay Menon’s film is centred on two youngsters – Dhivya and Arjun – who decide to stay together, owing to the pandemic lockdown. The time and the limited space they share lead to some startling revelations while they navigate the ups and downs of their relationship in the process.
