The Matt Reeves directorial, which stars Robert Pattinson, Zoë Kravitz and Paul Dano, will release in theatres on March 4
To calm the anticipation of DC fans to see their favourite caped crusader on screen again, The Batman makers have released a short clip from the film recently. The video shows how Bruce Wayne is a hero whether he’s in his iconic costume or not, and gives a peek into the thrill ride in store for audiences when the film releases.
The clip, which can be watched on the official Youtube channel of Warner Bros. Pictures, starts off with a somber scene as Wayne is seen arriving at a crowded funeral of an important person in Gotham. As he looks at the deceased man’s son, seemingly seeing a part of himself in the boy due to his own tragic past, Wayne overhears Gotham police commissioner James Gordon discuss the case of a missing man. Suddenly the solemn affair is interrupted as a strange figure appears on a balcony and a car crashes into the scene. Wayne rushes into action to pull the young boy to safety, and we see the ‘missing’ man stagger out of the car with a bomb attached to his chest.
The upcoming film is a reboot of the Batman film franchise, and stars Robert Pattinson as the titular superhero. Pattinson joins the long list of stars such as Adam West, Val kilmer, Michael Keaton, Christian Bale and Benn Affleck, who have essayed the iconic role.
The upcoming film also features Zoë Kravitz as Catwoman, Paul Dano as Riddler, Jeffrey Wright as Gordon, Andy Serkis as Alfred, and Colin Farrell as Penguin. The film is directed by Matt Reeves. Reeves had earlier revealed that the upcoming film will not be an origin story of the DC hero.
The Batman will be released in theatres on March 4, in four languages- English, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu.
