A brand-new single from the upcoming Tamil film Lubber Pandhu, Aasa Orave, was released by the makers on social media on Thursday. Composed and sung by Sean Roldan, the latest single has lyrics written by Mohan Rajan.
Lubber Pandhu stars actors Harish Kalayan and Attakathi Dinesh in the lead roles. The film is a cricket-based emotional drama directed by debutant filmmaker Tamizharasan Pachamuthu. Tamizharasan has earlier worked as an assistant director in Sigai, Kanaa and FIR.
The nearly-four-minute song is a melodramatic expression of losing somebody and revisiting their memories. The video also intersperses scenes from the film. The song is scored and performed by Sean Roldan, with lyrics by Mohan Rajan.

It is to be noted that Lubber Pandhu adds itself to the slew of cricket-based dramas that the Tamil film industry has been witnessing . This year already saw the release of two films, Blue Star and Lal Salaam which were based on the sport. Lubber Pandhu is produced by S Lakshman Kumar of Prince Pictures.
Recently, the director of the film had revealed that the film will be a dedication to the late and veteran actor Vijayakanth, with Dinesh playing the fan of the late actor. Tamizharasan also said that d that the film will be loaded with Vijayakanth’s references.
Lubber Pandhu is said to be a cricket-based film set against a rural backdrop. The film will focus on street cricket, which is common in India and will have a light-hearted and emotional take. The film stars Harish Kalyan and Attakathi Dinesh in the lead roles, marking their first onscreen collaboration. Swaswika, and Sanjana Krishnamoorthy play the female leads. The film will also mark the filmmaker’s directorial debut.
Lubber Pandhu technical crew consists of music composer Sean Roldan, cinematographer Dinesh Purushothaman and G Madan as the editor. A release date for the film is yet to be announced. An OTT partner of the film has not been revealed.
