New pictures of Everybody's Talking About Jamie musical flick released

New pictures from the upcoming musical flick Everybody’s Talking About Jamie were released by Amazon Studios. The movie is expected to debut worldwide in September.The film is based on the hit West End stage musical, which is expected to tour around the USA starting in January 2022.,

Everybody’s Talking About Jamie is based on true events about Jamie, a 16-year-old who doesn’t seem to quite fit in. Instead of doing something traditional like how his classmates discuss amongst each other about their livelihood after school. Jamie does not want to do anything mainstream and hence decides to fulfil his dreams of becoming a fierce and proud drag queen. Even though he has ambitions, he is very uncertain of the future and thinks it is a long shot. But he knew for a fact that he is going to be a sensation. He has endless support from his best friend Pritti (Lauren Patel) and his cordial mum (Sarah Lancashire). Local drag legend Miss Loco Chanelle (Richard E. Grant) mentors him for his debut stage performance. But unfortunately, like in most of the family, there will be one person who is homophobic, it was Jamie’s father (Ralph Ineson) here who despises his career choices and his identity. He faces a lot of bullying while growing.

In rousing and colourful musical numbers, Jamie and his community inspire one another to overcome prejudice, be more accepting, and step out of the darkness into the spotlight.

Jamie thrives in his career and becomes a voice in his community by inspiring them and raising awareness and acceptance. He is a role model especially for people who belong to the community and encourages them to step out of the darkness.

The film also features Shobna Gulati, Adeel Akhtar, and Samuel Bottomley.

Everybody’s Talking About Jamie is set to stream on Amazon Prime Video from September 17.
