The plot and central theme of Thankamani

Thangamani marks Ratheesh Raghunandan’s second directorial venture after Udal. The movie is based on the events that unfolded on October 21, 1986, when there was a police lathicharge and firing during a dispute over a bus service in Thangamani, a village in the Kamakshi gram panchayat of Idukki district. These incidents serve as the central theme of Dileep’s upcoming film.
