The first half of 2023 saw some big hits and flops in Telugu cinema. After their release, a few films received a lot of attention on OTT. Here are the top seven Telugu films that were viewed the most on Netflix and why we should revisit them on OTT.

Dasara (2023 release) -13,200,000 views

Dasara is the biggest hit in Nani's career and was directed by debutante Shouryuv. The film demands a re-visit on Netflix as Nani shocked one and all with his transformation and once again proved that Nani's popularity is skyrocketing. He played a rooted village guy who takes revenge for his friend's death and impressed everyone with his performance. Nani's rugged look, mass action episodes, hit songs, and Keerthy Suresh's village belle look make this film quite special.

Waltair Veerayya (2023 release) - 10,200,000 views

Waltair Veerayya brought back the mass hero in Chiranjeevi onto the screen after a long gap. The action drama directed by Bobby made over Rs 100 crore at the box office. Chiranjeevi teamed up with Ravi Teja for the first time and set the screen on fire. Be it the action, hit songs, or banter between Ravi Teja and Chiranjeevi, Waltair Veerayya makes for an entertaining watch on Netflix. Virupaksha (2023 release) - 8,700,000 views

Sai Dharam Tej, who was going through a streak of flops, attempted a fantasy thriller with Virupaksha. Featuring Samyuktha Menon as the female lead, Virupaksha had the finest production design and thrills. The haunting storyline, BGM, performances, and twists will be loved by all horror movie lovers. Virupaksha was directed by Karthik Varma Dandu and his narration captivates us in a new world altogether.

Dhamaka (2022 release) - 7,000,00 views

Dhamaka is Ravi Teja's biggest hit and was released in 2022. Months after its OTT release on Netflix, Dhamaka continues to win the hearts of the audience. Ravi Teja, who is known to do entertaining films, was in full form with Dhamaka. The comedy, Ravi Teja's chemistry with Sreeleela, and clean narration make this film worth revisiting yet again. 18 Pages (2022 release) - 4,200,000 views

18 Pages was in the making for a long time and was finally released in December 2022. Though the Nikhil Siddhartha starrer ended as just an average fare at the box office, the OTT release was received with a lot of love. Since Pushpa director Sukumar wrote the script, the movie is still getting a lot of attention on OTT. 18 Pages is a love story that has Anupama Parameswaran as the female lead and interesting twists and turns.

Amigos (2023 release) - 4,000,000 views

Amigos was quite a special film in the career of Kalyan Ram, as he played a triple role for the first time in his career. The action drama was released in February 2022, was a disaster at the box office and was out on OTT under a month after its release. Interestingly, the film found great reception on Netflix and continues to be one of the most-watched Telugu films due to its intriguing storyline.

Meter is about a software employee who is bound by his own silly rules that he follows in life.
