Super Bowl Sunday had surprises in store, not only for sports fans but also cinephiles anxiously awaiting updates on the array of film titles set to drop on Netflix this year. During the game, the streaming giant unveiled its new Super Bowl ad, which offered a sneak peek into the highly awaited films, which will release on the platform this year.

The preview trailer, which can be viewed on the official Youtube channel of Netflix Film Club, showcased first looks from films such as Knives Out (starring Daniel Craig), Enola Holmes 2 (starring Millie Bobby Brown), The Gray Man (starring Ryan Gosling), Day Shift (starring Jamie Foxx), The Mother (starring Jennifer Lopez), Slumberland (starring Jason Momoa), You People (starring Eddie Murphy and Jonah Hill), Me Time (starring Mark Wahlberg and Kevin Hart), The School for Good and Evil (starring Kerry Washington and Charlize Theron). The Adam Project, featuring Ryan Reynolds, Mark Ruffalo, Jennifer Garner and Zoe Saldaña, was spotlighted in the preview by receiving a chunk of its runtime, more than the other titles.

The upcoming science-fiction film had recently unveiled its trailer a few days ago. It is now set to stream on Netflix from March 11. Several titles that were showcased in the clip are yet to get their official release dates.

Netflix had first started rolling out original films in 2015, beginning with Beasts of No Nation and The Ridiculous 6. Numerous Netflix original titles have also made their way to Academy Award nominations as well, including Roma (2018), The Ballad of Buster Scruggs (2018), The Irishman (2019) and Marriage Story (2019).
