You season 3 is dropping on Netflix from October 15, 2021.
Just a couple of days before the streaming of You season three, the makers have announced that the series has been renewed for the fourth season. Netflix dropped an announcement video which is an amalgamation of a few scenes from the first three seasons of the hit series. The short teaser video features the leading star Penn Badgley along with the female leads Elizabeth Lail, Shay Mitchell, Ambyr Childers and Victoria Pedretti.
While sharing the video, Netflix wrote a creepy caption that reads as "YOU Season 4 is in the [body] bag."
Talking about the premise of You the series is based on Caroline Kepnes’ best-selling novel of the same name. It has a tagline that reads as "What would you do for love?".
In the first season, the series follows a brilliant bookstore manager who crosses paths with an aspiring writer. Using the internet and social media as his tools to gather the most intimate of details and get close to her, a charming and awkward crush quickly becomes an obsession as he quietly and strategically removes every obstacle and person in his way.
While in the upcoming third season, Joe marries Love and they are blessed with a son. For new beginnings, they move to the balmy Northern California enclave of Madre Linda, where they’re surrounded by privileged tech entrepreneurs, judgmental mommy bloggers, and Insta-famous biohackers.
Although Joe is committed to his new role as a husband and dad, he fears his wife Love’s lethal impulsiveness. But also there’s his heart.
He once again can't escape this self-questioning like - Could the woman he’s been searching for all this time live right next door? Like how Joe breaks out of a cage in a basement that is one thing but being in the prison of a picture-perfect marriage to a woman who’s wise to his tricks? That needs a much more complicated escape.
You season 3 is streaming on Netflix from October 15, 2021.
