Season 7 of Black Mirror Netflix's popular macabre anthology series, has rescheduled another voyage aboard the USS Callister. One of the six new episodes set to debut in 2025 is a sequel to the Star Trek parody sci-fi adventure that debuted in Season 4, according to a teaser notice that was made public a few hours ago. An exciting new run for the Charlie Brooker series is poised to begin with its return to a fan-favourite setting, and this reveal is just one of several that have emerged from Next on Netflix event in London.

Return to USS Calister

According to a brief synopsis, Robert Daly is dead, but for the crew of the USS Callister, their problems are just beginning. This suggests that the upcoming episode may involve more serious themes. Jesse Plemons played the role of Daly in the pilot, which debuted at the beginning of Season 4. He is a resentful co-creator of an MMORPG who runs a simulation using his coworkers' DNA. He takes charge of the USS Callister as their captain, venting his anger on the crew, but things take a turn for the worse when a new recruit plots a coup against Daly. Toby Haynes was the director, and Brooker and William Bridges were the writers.

Who will be in Black Mirror Season 7 though? We can probably expect to see some familiar faces in the sequel to USS Callister. Jimmi Simpson, Michaela Coel, Billy Magnussen, Milanka Brooks, Osy Ikhile, and Paul G. Raymond were among the guest stars in this episode, which starred Cristin Milioti as Nanette Cole, the newcomer who contributed to Daly's downfall by foiling his scheme. The episode featured a major voice cameo from Aaron Paul, who would later have a more prominent role in Season 6's Beyond the Sea, and a quick appearance from Kirsten Dunst in a background shot of the crew's office.
