Nesippaya: A Vishnuvardhan Tamil film to release after 10 years, here is everything you need to know

Nesippaya: Starring debutant Akash Murali and Aditi Shankar, the film follows a young couple's love story that faces challenges when they travel abroad, leading to potential separation.

Nesippaya is an upcoming Tamil film starring actors Akash Murali in his debut, and Aditi Shankar. The film is directed by Vishnuvardhan, who is making his comeback to Tamil cinema direction after nearly 10 years. Vishnuvardhan's last Tamil to release was the 2015 action comedy Yatchan.

Director Vishnuvardhan, who is a known name in Tamil cinema, made films like Sarvam, Billa and Arinthum Ariyamalum. However, the director was missing in action in Tamil cinema for a decade. With the release of his upcoming film Nesippaya, Vishnuvardhan will be making a comeback, which is touted to be a romantic action drama.

The makers released the audio and trailer of the film in an event held recently. Actors Sivakarthikeyan, Atharvaa, and others graced the event.

The trailer shows two individuals played by Akash and Aditi already madly in love, as they are seen sharing many romantic and cute moments together. However, their story faces a challenge when the story shifts to a foreign land, as their love is put to the test, to the extent of separation. The trailer does not give away the conflict, and we are left to guess what is the fate of the lovers.

Nesippaya cast and crew

Akash, who is the younger son of late actor Murali and Atharvaa’s brother, will be making his acting debut. Besides Aditi and Akash, actors R Sarathkumar, Prabhu, Khushbu Sundar, Raja, Kalki Koechlin, and Shiv Panditt. The film will see Vishnuvardhan collaborating with Yuvan Shankar Raja once again for music.

Produced by S. Xavier Britto under XB Film Creators, Cameron Eric Bryson is the cinematographer and Sreekar Prasad has handled the editing. Vishnu Varadhan has worked on the story, and collaborated with Neelan Sekar for the screenplay and dialogues. Nesippaya is set to release in theatres on January 14 for Pongal.
